Traditinal Media Survives

As twitter communication spreads, the traditional media like newspaper would become more important althogh some says that traditional media cannnot survive this century.
Twitter might give us the "latest" news. However you 'd better know that it is very hard to find the truth among such rough and ready news. We cannot confirm that it is true until such news is reported by the authority.
Twitter appears to have succeeded in enhancing horizontal connection in the internet. Every P can become a news source. Even if one P releases a false rumor, it might spread all over the world.
Billy Joel sings in "Honesty", "If you look for truthfulness, you might just as well be blind".
However I don't think you might be blind. You would easily find something you can rely upon only if you could turn your eyes back to traditional media.

Just a Free Trial

So many people seem to believe that social media are convenient infrastructures which provide companies with free marketing tools. Actually even company accounts are free as for now and it is not so hard to find the cases in which many companies are enjoying themselves with free marketing by social media because various media carry such story almost every week.
The companies enjoying free tools don't know that it's just a "free trial" and that they would be charged for its activities in social media even if personal use is permanently free.
You'd better think calmly. If a social media was a permanent free tool nobody would put the market price of millions dollars on it. You should know that a social media is a marketing machine by which only its owner can enjoy the profit.

Facebook Week

This week two major Japanese economy magazines carried the story on Facebook. Both articles say that we Japanese users can connect with more than 600 million users of the world.
600 million? Kidding me? Most of the users on Facebook are English oriented while almost all the users in Japan use only Japanese.
Even if a boy from an Alabaman farm wants to make friend with a girl in Tokyo, he has to study a very minor language which is used only in the small country located far east of Asia. Boys from western world should note that it is very hard to find a girl from Tokyo who can understand English messages nevertheless most of them study English more than 6 years at school.

What's branding?

Branding is breeding.
For personnel, for companies.
It takes a lot of time to breed a favorable image.
No technique contributes.
No intention succeeds.
Only endurance helps it.

From another aspect branding is believing.
If the brand owner strongly trusts it others would trust it.
No tool helps you.
Facebook does nothing.
Needless to mention Twitter.
Only your performance does it.

Do you trust Wikileaks?

I didn't. But now I might do.
Although Wikileaks is said to have been established to fight against the concealment of information by nations, this exposure site itself seems to be a little bit mysterious. At least Wikileaks might not become a credible news source for me unless it shows how it determines if taletelling documents are true or not. It looks just a dangerous toy of crazy anarchists.
However as long as I see the panicking of the governments, most of the documents exposed to the public seem to be true. The more the governments do something against Wikileaks, the more the reliability of the documents becomes proved. The governments should have stayed calm when the first document was exposed by Wikileaks.
Neglecting might be the best way to kill such dangerous movement.

Envoy to China of the 21st Century

When I was a university student over twenty years ago, there used to be few friends who liked to study Chinese because that communist's country was, like North Korea, one of the most mysterious countries. There seemed to be few chances to do business with China because it was geographically near but mentally far from Japan.
Since Japan and China have become more closely related together than ever before, lately most of Japanese university students want to choose Chinese as their second foreign language class. Some gives up English and chooses Chinese as his or her primal foreign language.
However some of the applicants have to study another language like French, German or Russian for their second foreign language classes because the capacity of Chinese classes is not enough for the applicants in most Japanese colleges.
More than 1200 years ago, Japanese top elites at that time studied Chinese poetry to get the rare ticket for Tang Dynasty China because there was newest knowledge in the greatest empire of Asia. In the 21st century, what do young elites want to find in China?

The World for Rich Club

Tax increase hikes cigarette price. It was announced that Japanese domestic cigarette would be raised by 100-120 yen in coming October. This raise, which is equivalent to 33% or more, seems to have an enough impact to reduce smokers.
Pursuing health is a preferable trend. Go ahead. I agree with it. Even with the antismoking movement I hate. Only if somebody shows me the persuasive data which proves that cigarette causes the lung cancer. But I am very sorry I have never seen the really fair data for it. More unfortunately, I have never seen the smoker who died with the lung cancer. What my grandfather did the last time before he died with pancreatitis was smoking. That 90 years old guy used to smoke more than 30 cigarettes a day.
Some stupid people including our prime minister still seem to believe that the earth is becoming warmer even when the evidence that the temperature data were forged became clear.　They believe that they are doing a right thing, although they are trying hard to give evil money gamers who love eco right the chances to gain huge money.
Yea a thing is similar. There seems to be many superstitions among "common senses" which we take for granted. As for cigarettes, since the U.S. government decided to support Detroit's auto industry, it has been evaluated unfairly. Some scientists know that the real cause of the lung cancer is exhaust gas of automobiles. But scientists would be hung in the witch court as soon as they expressed such a way of thinking.
The world seems to have been created for limited people who were permitted to gain huge money by God. Of course I am not the member of the rich club.
