Envoy to China of the 21st Century

When I was a university student over twenty years ago, there used to be few friends who liked to study Chinese because that communist's country was, like North Korea, one of the most mysterious countries. There seemed to be few chances to do business with China because it was geographically near but mentally far from Japan.
Since Japan and China have become more closely related together than ever before, lately most of Japanese university students want to choose Chinese as their second foreign language class. Some gives up English and chooses Chinese as his or her primal foreign language.
However some of the applicants have to study another language like French, German or Russian for their second foreign language classes because the capacity of Chinese classes is not enough for the applicants in most Japanese colleges.
More than 1200 years ago, Japanese top elites at that time studied Chinese poetry to get the rare ticket for Tang Dynasty China because there was newest knowledge in the greatest empire of Asia. In the 21st century, what do young elites want to find in China?

The World for Rich Club

Tax increase hikes cigarette price. It was announced that Japanese domestic cigarette would be raised by 100-120 yen in coming October. This raise, which is equivalent to 33% or more, seems to have an enough impact to reduce smokers.
Pursuing health is a preferable trend. Go ahead. I agree with it. Even with the antismoking movement I hate. Only if somebody shows me the persuasive data which proves that cigarette causes the lung cancer. But I am very sorry I have never seen the really fair data for it. More unfortunately, I have never seen the smoker who died with the lung cancer. What my grandfather did the last time before he died with pancreatitis was smoking. That 90 years old guy used to smoke more than 30 cigarettes a day.
Some stupid people including our prime minister still seem to believe that the earth is becoming warmer even when the evidence that the temperature data were forged became clear.　They believe that they are doing a right thing, although they are trying hard to give evil money gamers who love eco right the chances to gain huge money.
Yea a thing is similar. There seems to be many superstitions among "common senses" which we take for granted. As for cigarettes, since the U.S. government decided to support Detroit's auto industry, it has been evaluated unfairly. Some scientists know that the real cause of the lung cancer is exhaust gas of automobiles. But scientists would be hung in the witch court as soon as they expressed such a way of thinking.
The world seems to have been created for limited people who were permitted to gain huge money by God. Of course I am not the member of the rich club.

The Green Light on the United States' plot

The Nobel Peace Prize was given to President Obama. His plan, speech and behavior that pursue the Nonnuclear world were evaluated.
The world for the United States…
Most of the nuclear weapons which the US arms owns have passed the best-before date. So are Russia's. Nuclear deterrence is nothing more than 'fantasy'. That's why the United States would like to say, "Let's stop nucleus together!".
Moreover, each country cannot help reinforcing the armaments other than the nucleus if the nuclear deterrence is ineffective.
What does it mean? Yes, war industries would be activated. The United States becomes richer and richer by selling arms to another countries. It would not take so much time to get enough money to revive itself.
Nobel Prize showed the green light on the United States' plot above.

Pavarotti's Way

Luciano Pavarotti, world's most famous tenor singer, has passed away. Critics say that there will never be the singer like him because he must be the last artist who had been trying to develop his voice by the special training.
In the world of opera, most of young classical singers who seek for the chances to lift themselves up to bigger stages are very busy in promoting themselves. They sing various kinds of songs including pop tunes to show that their repertories are enough wide to entertain various kinds of audiences.
Only Pavarotti, however, has selected carefully the songs he should sing to reduce his repertory while other singers were busy to study new songs. He knew that some songs were effective and the others were rather obstructive for developing his vocal cords.
Putting a little bit of everything might be one of the best ways to make Subway's sandwich. But it will not create anything but an ordinary taste.

Is Time Like Money?

What we call "time" seems to be what we can mine from what's known as "today".
It might be something like money. The more I have it, the more I waste it. The less I have it, the less I lose it.
I think I have demanded much more time than I actually needed. Even when 1 hour was enough for me, I might have demanded more than 2 hours. Although unnecessary 1 hour was nothing but a buffer to let me feel relieved, I didn't feel having enough time.
I think I should get to know that I have much more time than I have estimated before.

Chinese Sentiment

An opinion a Chinese young scholar has recently contributed to his weblog aroused a controversy. "We should stop any kind of intentional anti-Japan propaganda which prevails sentiment of grudge", he remarked. He insists, "Wars are tragedy not only of China but of whole humankind and that bloody photographs only rouse a sentiment to seek for revenge war".
Unfortunately his opinion seems to be unfavorable for Chinese people because a majority of this country still persists in the barbarity past Japanese army have done.
China has 4,000 years of history. I think Chinese people should not be just particular about the history of 50 or 100 years.
Chinese government should prepare another outlet.

Give Me Whale Meat

A whale is said to have a brain of a weight of 4 to 7 kg. Hence some people say that whales are very intelligent creatures which should not be killed by human.
I think, however, the brain of a whale is way small for its whole body. The portion of its brain is much less than 1 %. I cannot believe that it works as an intelligent control center of that big unit.
In addition to that fact, I don’t think that whales have to develop their intelligence in the simple life of drifting in the ocean. They don’t have to exchange emergency messages to each other for avoiding enemies because they are big enough to beat all the creatures around them.
Even if those biggest creatures on the earth are very intelligent, I cannot agree with the opinion that whales should be unconditionally protected. The number of whales is reported lately to be increasing way much and they have begun to threaten the balance of the marine creatures. The catch of sardines in the seas close to Japan decreased critically because whales often maraud the game of the fishermen just in front of their ships. It has a serious influence on the healthy eating habit of Japanese people. Looking back to the history, the whaling ban itself seems to have been the plot planned by the American Empire to make Japanese eat more beef instead of whale bacon.
I prefer healthy whale meat than mad- cow-polluted US beef.
